In the initial stage, the raw bauxite is processed to undergo the beneficiation process to become a Metallurgical Grade Bauxite (MGB). At this stage, MGB usually has around 45%-48% of aluminum content. MGB is the raw material of the refining process to produce Alumina at the WHW plant.

Furthermore, MGB is processed with a refining process that adopting the Bayer Process. Through this process, SGA is produced with around 98.5% of Al203 content. SGA is the main raw material for aluminum production.
